Chapter 1 – Product Description Of Reflective Tape For Clothing

Reflective clothing tape can be divided into reflective heat transfer tape and reflective fabric tape. If used properly, the reflective clothing tape can be illuminated by light sources such as headlights at night or in low light conditions, allowing light to return to the original source and reach the driver’s eye of the vehicle, thus helping to enhance the wearer’s vision.

1.1 Reflective Heat Transfer Tape

The heat transfer reflective tape has excellent retro-reflective properties and can be applied to any uniform workwear by heat pressing or simple ironing methods. These reflective tapes can be used on EN 20471 vests or other highly visible garments, corporate clothing, or personal protective equipment.

Thermal transfer (heat transfer) reflective strips or images are made by cutting or laser cutting 100cm wide rolls. The reflective material consists of micro glass beads glued to a heat-activated backing.

Care instructions: use a mild detergent for handwashing. Do not pre-soak. It can be washed in hot water at approx. 40°C. Do not use detergents containing bleach, acids, or alkalis.

1.1.3 How to apply

• 1. Cut the iron/heat transfer reflector into the desired length.
• 2. set the iron’s heating temperature to approximately 120°C.
• 3. Place the tape side down on the fabric.
• 4. Place the iron on the tape and then forcefully move it along the tape. You will need 15 to 30 seconds to get the tape to stick to the fabric.
• 5. Wait 10 to 15 seconds for it to cool.
• 6. Carefully remove the clear film from the applied reflective tape.
• 7. cover the reflective tape with a piece of cloth and an iron and leave it on for 2-3 seconds.
• 8. remove the cloth and admire your work!
